Position Overview:
The Northwest Tri-County Intermediate Unit (IU5) has a need for Substitute Teachers for both regular education and special education for the 2017-2018 school year. The daily rate is based on individual district substitute rates (ranging from approximately $75- $85 a day).  Training and job shadowing within the classroom is provided for all emergency substitutes. 

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in any field
• Required employment clearances
• Updated TB Test (within 3 months)

Position Overview:
Northwest Tri-County Intermediate Unit (IU5) has a need for Substitute Teacher’s Aides in our special education classes in Erie, Warren, and Crawford Counties. The job of the Teacher's Aide is to assist the teacher and reinforce the instruction taught in the classroom to students. 
 
Required Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Required employment clearances

Position Summary: 
There is currently an opening for a contracted School Psychologist in the Crawford County area.  The School Psychologist provides psycho-diagnostic services to children and serves as a consultant to parents, teachers, school administrators, and other professional, as well as related, agencies serving the needs of such children.  

Qualifications Required:
  • Certification as School Psychologist in Pennsylvania.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Assist school districts with screening children who may need psychological services
  • Participate in team evaluations and administer individual psychological tests to children who may require services
  • Assist school districts with implementing appropriate procedural safeguards for exceptional children
  • Participate in IEP conferences as appropriate
  • Provide parents of exceptional children or thought to be exceptional children with counseling services necessary to understand their child's needs, abilities, etc
  • Develop lines of communication with supervisors and assist them in providing effective programs for exceptional children
  • Communicate with local non-school agencies regarding the needs of exceptional children
  • Participate in the development and provision of in-service activities for regular and special educators regarding the needs of exceptional children

Location:

  • Crawford Central School District – up to 22.5 hours a week from now thru the end of the school year

Position Summary:
The Northwest Tri-County Intermediate Unit (IU5) has an opening for a part time contracted Early Intervention School Psychologist.  The School Psychologist provides psycho-diagnostic services to children in the Early Intervention Program and serves as a consultant to parents, teachers, school administrators, and other professional, as well as related, agencies serving the needs of such children.  He/she is directly responsible to the Director of Special Education.​  This is a temporary, contract position beginning mid August and continuing for approximately 3 months with a starting rate of $34.85-$37.00/hr

Qualifications Required:

  • Certification as School Psychologist in Pennsylvania.

The Northwest Tri-County IU5 Adult Education Program has an IMMEDIATE NEED for a part-time Adult Education Teacher to provide individualized basic reading and math instruction for GED® Exam preparation at the Venango County Jail located in Franklin, PA. Position is 12 hours per week. Starting pay is $18.00/hour.

 

Qualifications: PA Instructional Certificate. Retired teachers are encouraged to apply.
