Part-time Aide position available for IU 5 Early Intervention classroom:
     •McKean Elementary School - must have signing skills (10-19.9 hours per week)

The Northwest Tri-County IU5 Talent Search and Upward Bound Math Science Program is seeking a part-time math tutor to provide individualized and small group math instruction and remediation for 6th – 12th grade students residing in the Erie, Corry, and Union City school districts.  Hours will range from 12 to 20 hours per week. Starting pay is $18.00 per hour.

Position Summary:
The Behavior Consultant will provide consultation and support to school district and Intermediate Unit staff (teachers, aides, and therapists) for students with autism spectrum disorders or other behavioral concerns. 

Required Qualifications:
•  Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst certificate obtained through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board; or hold a current license for Behavior Specialist in the State of Pennsylvania
•  Prior training and experience working with children or adults with autism spectrum disorders, behavior modification, and /or behavior analysis​

Desired Qualifications: 
•  Master’s degree in Special Education or mental health, or a related field
Essential Functions and Responsibilities: 
• Provide consultation to school district and Intermediate Unit staff (teachers, aides, therapists) for students with autism spectrum disorders or other behavioral concerns 
• Support school district programs for students with autism spectrum disorders or behavioral concerns that span the continuum of special education services from students fully included in regular education to students assigned to full time support programs
• Develop recommendations and suggest strategies to classroom staff, such as positive behavior supports, intervention strategies, and educational management programs, in support of students with autism or behavioral needs 
• Utilize a coaching and collaborative platform as the preferred method of program implementation 
• Support classroom programs in the development of (and assistance with) functional behavior assessments and behavior intervention plans
• Establish a collaborative/coaching relationship in local educational entities assigned
• Participate in team meetings
• Provide transition assistance and material development (social stories, schedules, etc.)
• Assist with staff development, including facilitation of Handle With Care as a certified HWC trainer
• ​Perform other duties as assigned

​Position Summary:
This is a supervisory level position responsible for oversight of Special Education Programs by geographic area and/or exceptionality. 
Required Qualifications:
•  Valid Pennsylvania Supervisor of Special Education certificate or K-12 Principal Certificate
•  Five years’ experience with special education students 
•  Thorough understanding of all state and federal requirements for special education

Desired Qualifications: 
Experience with School Wide Positive Behavior Support

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: 
Supervise and evaluate assigned teaching and paraprofessional staff.
Participate in the interviewing of prospective employees and provide recommendations for employment.
Oversee the procedural compliance of all pupil placements (from point of referral to IEP development / implementation) and to transition to adult life. 
Oversee class lists for child count accuracy.
Present at workshops and meetings and serve on committees, upon request.
Participate in meetings to develop IU/district goals and budget contracts.
Oversee the requisitioning of materials for new and existing programs.
Evaluate annually the facilities utilized.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director and Assistant Director of Special Education.
