Position Overview:
Northwest Tri-County Intermediate Unit (IU5) is seeking applicants for a full-time, Substitute Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for the Erie County region for the remainder of the 2016-2017 school year.  The goal of an SLP is to provide remedial services to students with speech, language, voice, fluency, or hearing disorders with the outcome of improving expressive/receptive communication and attain the necessary speech and language skills. 
 
Required Qualifications:
•PA Educational Specialist Certificate – School Speech and Language Pathologist PK-12
• PA State Licensure in Speech/Language Pathology
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC’s) – Preferred
 
Essential Functions:
 • Meet and instruct assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated.
• Plan a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students.
• Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students.
• Prepare for classes assigned and show written evidence of preparation upon request of immediate superior.
• Assess the accomplishments of students on a regular basis and provide progress reports as required.

Position Overview:
The Northwest Tri-County Intermediate Unit (IU5) has a need for Substitute Teachers for both regular education and special education for the 2016-2017. Position Overview:
Northwest Tri-County Intermediate Unit (IU5) has a need for Substitute Teacher’s Aides in our special education classes in Erie, Warren, and Crawford Counties. The job of the Teacher's Aide is to assist the teacher and reinforce the instruction taught in the classroom to students.

• High school diploma or equivalent

Position Overview:
Northwest Tri-County Intermediate Unit (IU5) is seeking candidates for a full-time, substitute Occupational Therapist (OT) to service students in the Crawford County region. The OT is responsible for evaluation, assessment, planning, goal development, and for providing appropriate intervention services designed to enhance the student’s potential for learning. The starting rate for this position is $36.09 per hour.
 
Required Qualifications:
• PA License in Occupational Therapy
• Previous experience providing school based OT services preferred
 
Essential Functions:
• Assesses students’ fine and gross motor skills and functional abilities (e.g. perceptual-motor, hand functions, motor coordination, sensory development, muscle strength, etc.) with standardized assessments for the purpose of determining program eligibility and developing recommendations for OT treatment, appropriate assistive devices and/or curriculum access
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team and/or individuals (e.g. parents, teachers, physicians, administration) for the purpose of communicating information, resolving issues and providing services in compliance with established guidelines
• Consult with teachers, parents , and other personnel and/or outside professionals for the purpose of providing requested information, developing plans for services, making recommendation and coordinating OT services with those of other disciplines

Northwest Tri-County Intermediate Unit (IU5) is seeking applicants for a full-time, Supervisor of School Improvement Services to oversee programs in the Erie, Warren, and Crawford Counties.
 
Required Qualifications: 
• Valid Pennsylvania Principal Certificate
• 3-5 years of experience working with diverse groups of students, administrators, and community agencies

Essential Functions:

• Manage, supervisor, and evaluate staff in Federal & State Programs
• Manage and supervise the Federal and State Programs in meeting all grant objectives and program goals
• Maintain a working knowledge of laws, guidelines, regulations, and procedures relevant to specific programmatic areas in which supervision and coordination is being provided
• Provide technical assistance and professional development to Local Educational Agencies, shelter and community agency staff within the region

Position Overview:
The Northwest Tri-County Intermediate Unit (IU5) is seeking a applicants for a Technology Systems Support position within our IT department. The Technology Systems Support incumbent is responsible for assigned aspects of the Intermediate Unit’s Innovative Technology Solutions (ITS) plan.  This position’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to; coordinating all backup, disaster recovery, and system documentation efforts, maintaining physical and virtual servers, administering messaging systems, administering Microsoft Active Directory, administering data storage systems, administering video-conference systems, and administering conference room technology. The starting salary for this position is $40-50K depending on the applicants qualifications and experience; also full health benefits on the first day of hire.
 
Required Qualifications:
• A two year degree in IT or other related discipline with a minimum of two years relevant experience in system administration.
 
Desired Qualifications:
• Four year degree in IT or related discipline and 3-5 years of technical expertise in systems administration with additional experience in project management and budgeting.
 
Essential Functions:
• Administers servers and appliances including: the Microsoft Windows server environment; virtualization; the Linux server environment; and network storage
• Maintains system performance by monitoring servers and appliances, patching, performing hardware upgrades, and providing recommendations on upgrades
• Administers messaging systems throughout IU5 with an emphasis on mail routing and troubleshooting with a focus on Microsoft Exchange and the Barracuda appliance family
• Diagnose and isolate hardware/software problems and coordinate solution response
• Collaborate with other ITS staff members on a regular basis regarding system, application, and device performance, backup configurations, documentation, and disaster recovery
• Leads cross-organization project teams for system investigations, installations, and integrations
• A focus on customer service to meet the IT needs of IU5 employees and the organization
• Perform any other duties as assigned
